General Motors Taps New Senior Adman

16 January 2004

General Motors -- which spends around $4 billion (€3.2bn; £2.2bn) globally on advertising -- has appointed a new marketing boss after an executive reshuffle.

Roger Adams (47) takes over as executive director of corporate advertising and marketing. He replaces C J Fraleigh (40), who moves into Adams' current position as general manager of the Buick and Pontiac-GMC divisions.

Both men will report to John Middlebrook, the auto giant's vp of marketing and advertising.
