GM Planworks Names New Chief

13 March 2008

DETROIT: GM Planworks, which services the media planning and buying needs of America's General Motors, has named Ken Taylor as new president/general manager, following last week's surprise announcement that incumbent Dennis Donlin will vacate the role April 1.

Taylor is currently evp-group client leader at Planworks' sibling Starcom USA, in Chicago. Both firms are part of the Publicis Groupe empire.

Taylor, a Starcom veteran, helped set up Planworks to handle GM's $3 billion (€1.9bn; £1.48bn) business, and previously served as its svp-managing director.
