French TV and Magazines Suffer Ad Slowdown

The French advertising market has shown "very moderate" growth of 3.9% since January, reaching €7.67 billion ($9.26bn; £5.1bn), according to the latest data from TNS Media Intelligence.

Growth during the same period last year was 9.7%.

Television and magazines attracted €1.77 million in adspend during May, down 1% and 1.2% respectively for the second month in succession.

National daily newspapers, radio and outdoor, however, reported robust increases of 8.1%, 7.2% and 4.6%, respectively.
