Former Oz Quiz Host Wins Millions as Network Ceo

SYDNEY: Australia's Who Wants to be a Millionaire gameshow host turned Nine Network ceo Eddie Maguire has found himself in the money, according to the annual report of parent company Publishing and Broadcasting.

The controversial Maguire earned A$4.7 million ($3.5m; €2.7m; £1.8m) in the twelve months to June 30. PBL ceo John Alexander was even more generously rewarded, to the tune of A$7.7m.

Executive chairman James Packer, who owns 38% of PBL, does not take a salary but was paid around A$150m in dividends last year.
