Ford Taps Guerrilla Shop for Euro Campaign

19 July 2001

Ford Motor Company has handed Amsterdam guerrilla marketing shop BlueberryFrog a confidential brief for a pan-European campaign promoting the launch of a new car.

BlueberryFrog – which specialises in such marketing methods as viral emails and staged events – won the assignment in a pitch against several other unnamed specialist agencies.

The shop is a unit of StrawberryFrog, a virtual agency which handles international accounts from Amsterdam, using the internet to employ freelancers around the world.

Ford’s main ad shop in Europe is Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide.
