Ford Appoints Kelley as Global Sales and Marketing Chief

12 March 2001

Auto titan Ford Motor Company has unveiled a reorganisation of senior staff in the wake of the impending retirement of Robert L Rewey, group vp, global consumer services and North America.

Rewey’s responsibilities are to be divided among several newly created posts. Shouldering the bulk of these is Brian P Kelley, who moves from his post in command of e-commerce to become vp, global consumer services, overseeing the group’s worldwide sales and marketing operations. Kelley’s resumé includes stints as a vice president at General Electric and a number of marketing roles at Procter & Gamble.

Replacing Kelley in charge of Ford’s e-commerce operations is Karen Francis, a former General Motors executive. However, Kelley will retain his seat on the board of Covisint, the internet parts and services exchange of which Ford is a member.
