Following the exit yesterday of incumbent agency McCann-Erickson Worldwide [WAMN: 8-Feb-01], Fallon of Minneapolis and New York is favorite to snatch the estimated $250 million ad account of San Diego-based computer marketer Gateway.
Among other Fallon credentials that would appeal to Gateway, president and executive creative director David Lubars of the Publicis-owned shop was a prominent member of the Apple account team while at BBDO Worldwide, Los Angeles.
Other contenders in the review – identities kept firmly under the wraps until yesterday – are Siltanen/Keehn, El Segundo, California, and DiMassimo Brand Advertising, New York.
Neither Gateway nor Fallon was prepared to comment on the review.
