Details of electronics retailer Circuit City’s appointment of True North Communications’ FCB Worldwide to its mainstream business [WAMN: 26-Mar-01] are slowly emerging.
Although the division of duties between agency and in-house units has not been disclosed, the Chicago office of FCB has been confirmed as lead agency following Circuit City’s split with TBWA/Chiat/Day.
In addition, the retailer attributed the choice of FCB to the shop’s skills in integrating different marketing channels. However, no further light was shed on its decision to drop TBWA or the review process – if there was one.
