FCB Shakes up Global Network

15 November 2005

Advertising agency Foote Cone and Belding, part of the troubled Interpublic Group, has announced a major shake-up of its global infrastructure.

The company is establishing 'centers of excellence', taking in Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the UK, France, Austria, Germany, India, Greater China, Southeast Asia, South Africa and The Horizon Group of the Middle East.

The new set-up will do away with regional distinctions and will be overseen by Rafael de Guzman, who has been named as president and ceo of FCB International.

The US center of excellence will remain under the control of FCB Worldwide ceo Steve Blamer.

Says Blamer: "The most significant element of this new structure is that it will allow us to target our resources closer to where they're of most value to our global and local clients."

Among FCB's global clients are Kraft, Merck and Motorola. The agency has offices in 110 countries.
