Swedish telecoms company Ericsson is reviewing its £100 million global creative account, and has approached several agencies about replacing incumbent Young & Rubicam.

Although Y&R has been asked to repitch, Ericsson is believed to be unhappy with the agency’s Make Yourself Heard campaign.

The move threatens to deprive Y&R of one of its largest global clients. The shop’s latest pan-European campaign for the Swedish company broke only last week.

The review, which affects only the consumer division as opposed to the Publicis-handled business-to-business account, will be supervised by Ericsson’s global marketing director for mobile phones Jan Ahrenbring. A shortlist is expected to be announced in due course.
