Duo Share BBC America Duties

08 March 2001

BBC America, the stateside arm of UK public broadcaster, the British Broadcasting Corporation, has awarded its $10 million account to two agencies.

Media duties go to San Francisco’s Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners West, while Arnold Worldwide/Washington in McLean, Virginia will handle the creative business.

The BBC, which can be viewed via digital cable and satellite, currently has a US audience of around 15m homes, a figure it aims to double by 2003.

Kirshenbaum Bond will concentrate on targeted and ‘guerilla’ marketing techniques, according to managing partner/general manager Nigel Carr.
