Drinking and Driving Accounts Up for Grabs

Two major accounts are reported up for review …

Boston Beer has shortlisted two agencies as finalists in the review for its $20-$30 million media buying business. The combatants, both New York based, are Initiative Media and Zenith Media. The victor will inherit the account from MediaCom which resigned Boston Beer after the award of competing business from Diageo.

The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association has selected four shops to slug it out for its account, worth an estimated $40 million over three years. Baltimore-based Eisner Communications will defend the business against three unnamed rivals with creative presentations slated for March 2002. The winning shop will be awarded a three year contract but won’t take up the reins until 2003.
