LONDON/WASHINGTON: Boots, Waitrose and Philips are among the companies using design successfully to counter the downturn, as recognised by the Design Business Association.

The DBA's annual Design Effectiveness Awards aim to "recognise, reward and promote the integral role effective design plays in the creation of business growth."

All the winners from this year's Awards are now available to Warc subscribers, and can be accessed here. Case studies from 2007 and 2008 will also be available on Warc shortly.
