Delta Marketing Chief Quits Amid Cost-Cutting Frenzy

    ATLANTA - The troubled US airline revealed that evp of marketing Paul Matsen (46) is leaving as part of a previously announced plan to slash around 1,000 management and administrative jobs.
    Delta Air Lines, the third largest US carrier, is struggling to excise $200 million (€166.25m; £115.23m) from its annual overheads as it undergoes a bankruptcy restructuring.
    Matsen's duties will be assumed by Jim Whitehurst, the company's chief operating officer
