Danone Launches Global Media Review

French-headquartered dairy food and mineral water manufacturer Groupe Danone is holding an €850 million ($1.1bn, £582m) global media pitch.

The company wants to improve its purchasing power by consolidating into three networks. It believes the move will "create common working procedures to develop innovative media strategies and share experience".

The review will begin next month. Once completed, the chosen three will then pitch for local market accounts.

Danone brands include Actimel and Shape yogurts and Evian and Volvic water. Among the agencies on its roster currently are Carat, Starcom, Mediaedge:cia, OMD and Vizeum.
