28 August 2006

COPENHAGEN: State-owned broadcaster TV2 Danmark has won its tussle with Swedish media conglomerate Modern Times Group to grab the only national commercial radio license in Denmark.

The agreement will run for eight years at an annual cost of €3.1 million ($3.9m; £2m).

News International's Sky Radio won the same license for €7.2m per year in 2003, but returned it in 2005 after making heavy losses.
