WELLINGTON: New Zealand's national emblem, the Kiwi, is an endangered species. Likewise independent advertising agencies worldwide - whose chances of survival as a species diminished further this week with the ingestion of Wellington-based direct advertising shop Limb Walker Partners by Omnicom Group's DDB New Zealand.
The merged agency will rebrand as Rapp Collins Limb Walker, whose managing partners Robert Limb and Lance Walker are erstwhile colleagues of DDBNZ group managing director Sharon Henderson when all three worked elsewhere.
Nothing so vulgar as the number of dollars that will change hands over the deal has been mentioned.
