Compaq Reviews European Direct Marketing Assignments

20 July 2001

The globe’s largest PC maker Compaq Computer has put its pan-European local direct marketing accounts up for grabs.

Current roster agencies have been asked to participate in a tendering process, while other shops have also been approached. However, the final line-up of pitching agencies is yet to be put together.

The £15 million UK account is presently the responsibility of Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB, which was handed the business as part of the consolidation of Compaq’s ad duties at FCB. Pan-European media duties are handled by Initiative Media.

Included in the direct marketing brief are direct mail, inserts, responsive press and some online duties.
