Comcast and Mouse House Ink VOD Deal

NEW YORK: As mooted in WARC News on Wednesday, the number one cable provider in the US, Comcast, has bought the 39.5% of E! Network it did not already own from the Walt Disney Company for $1.23 billion (€949m; £642m).

In addition, it has extended its agreement to carry the Mouse House's various television networks, including ABC and the ESPN family, on its cable systems.

A series of accords will also make Disney-owned shows available the day after they air to Comcast's VOD service, including primetime hits Desperate Housewives and Lost.
