30 November 2007

MUNICH: German pay-TV giant ProsiebenSat1 Media has posted its first quarterly loss in four years, thanks to a €120 million ($176.8m; £85.8m) fine by the country's antitrust authorities for making illegal advertising rebates.

Prosieben reported a Q3 loss of €77.9m, compared with a profit of €13.1m a year earlier. Sales soared 55% to €668.4m after its €3.3 billion acquisition of SBS Broadcasting Group earlier this year.
