Bcom3 Group, in process of acquisition by Publicis Groupe, gladdened the heart of its French Romeo with a rise of nearly 76% in second quarter net earnings, reports a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Net income soared to almost $34 million (€34.65m; £22.14m) against almost static revenues – up by only 1.4% year-on-year from $480 million to $487m. According to Bcom3’s cfo Eileen Kamerick, this is due to better cash management and expense control.
For the half-year to June 30, consolidated net income increased after adjustments to $54m, up 47% from $37m in the same period last year. Worldwide revenue increased 0.6% year-on-year from $927m to $932m.
