Bcom3 Posts Modest Q2 Revenue Increase

Chicago-headquartered advertising and marketing group Bcom3, parent of the Leo Burnett and D’Arcy networks, reported earlier this week a two percent rise in year-on-year revenues during the second quarter ended June 30.

According to the group’s filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, revenues hit $480 million compared with $470m in 2000. In the half-year, consolidated global revenues rose by 9% to $927m against $851m in the same period last year.

Second quarter net income for 2001 reached $4.5m bringing the half-year total to $7m, equating to losses per share of $2.89 and $6.01 for the respective periods.
