LONDON: UK satellite broadcaster BSkyB is launching a new video-on-demand service later this year which will allow subscribers to its Sky+ PVR service to choose from a selection of the week's top television programs.
Other additions to the service planned for 2007 include the facility to programme recordings via the internet.
Sky+ recorders are now in more than two million UK homes. The company says demand has put it on track to pass its target of 25% penetration ahead of its original schedule of 2010.
