BBDO Detroit Hit by Chrysler Cuts Fallout

15 February 2006

DETROIT - A victim of cost-slashing at its core client DaimlerChrysler, the Detroit office of Omnicom Group agency BBDO is to eliminate up to 200 employees, or about 11% of its staff, insiders say. Siblings PHD and Organic are also likely to be affected.
In addition, BBDO is likely to move some Chrysler creative chores to its New York headquarters to give chief creative officer David Lubars greater oversight on the account.
    A BBDO representative declined comment.
