LONDON - The UK's publicly funded broadcaster, the BBC, revealed its licence fee revenue rose to £3.1 billion ($5.71bn; €4.47bn) last year.

The figures, published in a final report by the BBC's board of governors before its replacement by a trust, also show falling audience figures at flagship channels BBC1 and BBC2.

The weekly reach for BBC1 was 79.7%, down from 81.9%, while BBC2 was at 59.1%, slipping from 61.4%.
