Axel Springer Daily Targets Polish Professionals

17 April 2006

BERLIN - The media giant is launching an upscale daily newspaper in Poland tomorrow (Tuesday). The Warsaw-based Dziennik is targeted at Poland's growing band of young professionals and expects circulation to reach 150,000.
Axel Springer says the title will be modelled on its quality German broadsheet Die Welt and will join the company's Polish tabloid Fakt, which was launched in 2003 and is now the country's best-selling daily.
