Australia Faces Zero Ad Growth For One Year

Australia’s ad industry will not return to growth for another year, according to a new study by Nielsen Media Research.

This reported that adspend rose 2% in the third quarter of 2002, but predicted it would stay flat until late in 2003.

Elsewhere in Asia Pacific, there were Q3 spend increases in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and in particular New Zealand, where the America’s Cup sailing contest fuelled a 10% surge.
