Arena Heads £400m Bid for Racing Rights

A partnership between British racecourse company Arena Leisure, satellite broadcaster BSkyB and UK TV station Channel 4 is poised to pass the winning post in the race to grab global television rights for horse racing.

Fellow runner Carlton Communications has already bid £400 million, but the trio is expected to edge into the lead with an offer of £420m ($574.6m).
