Airline Network Appoints Global CMO

FRANKFURT: Global airline network Star Alliance has named former Air France commercial director Christopher Korenke as its new marketing chief.

The project and brand management partnership, set up in 1997, works on behalf of its nineteen-strong membership, including Air Canada, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines.

Comments ceo Jaan Albrecht: "[Christopher] will be defining the way forward and supporting the goals for sales, marketing, our worldwide brand, our new e-business solutions and the frequent flyer and loyalty components, thereby contributing to the overall Star Alliance strategy."
