Aegis Buys Brazilian Digital Agency

SAO PAULO: UK-headquartered media and research conglomerate Aegis Group has acquired Brazil's biggest digital agency, AgenciaClick, for £15.9 million ($31m; €23.7m) in cash and up to 3.4m new shares over five years.

The agency's clients include the Coca-Cola Company and Fiat. Aegis ceo Robert Lerwill believes the move will give the group "good exposure to Brazil - an increasingly important economy of the future" and will be a launch-pad for further growth in the region. Aegis already has offices in Mexico and Argentina.
