SINGAPORE: Advertising expenditure levels will enjoy rapid growth in Singapore over the next four years, according to a new forecast.
PricewaterhouseCoopers, the consultancy, predicted that adspend in the country will rise by 5% a year going forward, with totals expanding from $776m (€630m; £524m) in 2009 to $1bn by 2014.
Television will see revenues rise by 7.6% annually in this period to $300m in all, with the web set to post an uptick of 15.6% every 12 months in this timeframe as figures jump from $32m to $66m.
PwC suggested that consumers in Singapore are “very much at home with traditional media,” which is one reason why digital advertising sales are due to remain modest for the immediate future.
