The business of online research, which has seen rapid growth with the dispersal of high-speed internet access, is crucial to our understanding of consumer behaviour. There seems little doubt that it will continue to play an increasingly important part in the armoury of both marketers and researchers, as the technology becomes available to gather more detailed and accurate data, and to interpret those data with greater insight. The entries featured in this guide are listed alphabetically in the lefthand menu and cover two broad categories: those companies that provide the software to undertake research through online panels, and those that carry out the research for clients, whether they be advertisers or agencies.
