Online Fieldwork Services Ciao Surveys provides online fieldwork services in market research worldwide and owns deeply profiled proprietary online access panels across Europe, the Americas, Australia and Asia. Further, we supplement the depth of our panels with Real-Time Sampling™, a just-in-time sampling methodology that enables us to intercept web surfers and present them with survey opportunities in real time.

Survey facilitation/analysis Ciao Surveys can provide a sample-only or full-service online fieldwork. For sample identification and extraction we source respondents from our deeply profiled panels. The issuing of survey invitations is automated using our own proprietary technologies to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of the sample criteria. We can provide customised programming and hosting, including Flash and multimedia and conjoints. Data collection is backed up by secure multiple-redundant servers and can be delivered in any major file format.

Other services Our panels, including our UK panel, are profiled in depth across a number of areas, including media consumption, B2B, travel, automotive and healthcare. We’re able to pre-identify a wide range of popular groups such as mobile telephone owners and pet owners. Where a target group is required that cannot be pre-identified we offer pre-screening services to get to niche target groups. We have programming facilities and easy-to-customise Flash-based templates for ad tests, concept tests and shelf tests. We can incorporate multimedia using advanced programming, which allows use of streaming video and audio even in dial-up households. We also offer an Omnibus every week.

Major research activities supported
Ciao Surveys and Greenfield Online operate deeply profiled proprietary online access panels. Panel profiling is internationally standardised where possible but with local customisation where needed. Our panels comprise doubleopt-in individuals, and we collect profile information on all standard demographics, business decision-making, lifestyle, health, automotive, media, personal finance, mobile telephones, gaming and many more.

  • Quantitative We provide sample, programming and hosting for online surveys, including project management of tracking and longitudinal studies and custom panels.
  • Qualitative We can provide and manage sample for market research, involving, for example, bulletin boards, online focus groups and blogging.


Special techniques/branded offerings
We have our own proprietary tools for sample extraction, panel profiling and management. We script and report using industry-standard software from Confirmit or GlobalPark, and can offer conjoint modules within our programming services (Sawtooth and custom).

Training and technical support
