DMA: Direct Marketing Association - USwww.the-dma.orgThe DMA has been the leading source of news and information for direct marketers since 1917. A much sought-after industry honor, the DMA's ECHO award is the only comprehensive international direct marketing award recognizing excellence in strategy, creativity, and results. Entries are categorized into eleven primary business segments, then further divided into ten advertising media categories. After three rounds of qualifying judging by direct marketing experts, the winners are picked and verified by the ECHO committee, a group of senior members of the direct marketing community. Campaigns are evaluated for their response results, marketing strategy, and creative components. Winners in the various segments receive gold, silver, or bronze ECHOs and the 'Best of Show' is presented with the Diamond ECHO. The USPS Gold Mailbox is also presented to the year's most innovative and effective mail campaign.
