WPP Group has reshuffled its Italian management following the acrimonious and increasingly litigious departure of WPP Italia country manager Marco Benatti [WAMN: 18-Jan-06].

The marketing services conglomerate's media arm, GroupM, sees its Europe, Middle-East and Africa managing director Dominic Grainger take on the role of ceo at GroupM in Italy. He replaces former director Marco Girelli.

And at the Mediaedge:cia Italia network Stefano Sala has taken over as ceo from Paolo Salvaderi, who is no longer on the board of directors.

Sala's responsibilities at MindShare Italia have been assumed by Giulio Malegori, who also heads the European unit of the company.
