HAARLEM, Holland: VNU, parent company for the ACNielsen family of brands, still adjusting to its acquisition earlier this by a private equity consortium, has posted its latest set of numbers, both for the third quarter and the nine months to September30.

Pro forma operating revenue for Q3 was €904 million ($1.2bn; £608.15m), up 6% year-on-year at constant currency, while operating income fell 29% to €72m.

In the nine month period, pro forma operating income rose to €2,737m, up 5.5% at constant currency, thanks to a €58m deferred revenue adjustment and positive currency impact. Gross operating revenue increased 6% to €2,679m.

The nine-months data includes the periods before and after the sale of the firm to the private equity Valcon consortium [WARC News: 13-Jul-06].
