LONDON: The UK's Radio Advertising Bureau has named Martina King as its new chairman. She was formerly managing director of Yahoo's European operation.
RAB operates within the RadioCentre organisation, the self-styled voice of British commercial broadcasters. King's task will be to help radio recover from a slide in advertising revenues during 2006.
She aired her enthusiasm (as well as mastery of voguish buzzwords): "Radio is flexible and ubiquitous, and has a fantastic future at the heart of digital convergence."
