LONDON: Despite UK prime minister Gordon Brown's decision not to call an early general election, the opposition Conservative Party, led by David Cameron (pictured), has formally appointed Havas-owned Euro RSCG as its main creative agency.

Its primary task will be to push the Tories' campaign for a referendum on Britain's signingup to the proposed European Union treaty - currently a red rag to the Tory bulls.

Comments Euro RSCG Worldwide ceo Chris Pinnington: "Our job is to create a raft of impossible-to-miss ideas to ensure that the public understands the benefits of a Cameron future and the downsides of a Brown Britain."
