LONDON: UK trade body, the Advertising Association has elected Rupert Howell (pictured) as vice-chairman and director.
He replaces Ian McCulloch, former commercial director of Britain's biggest commercial broadcaster, ITV.

Howell is ITV's managing director of brand and commercial function, and an erstwhile president of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.

Says AA ceo Baroness Peta Buscombe: "I am delighted Rupert is coming on board. His tremendous breadth of experience in the industry, coupled with his amazing 'can do, will do' approach means that he is extremely well placed to make a terrific contribution."
