United Airlines has completed the review of its $60 million (€58.6m; £37.5m) global media duties despite fears the search would be hit by the company’s recent filing for bankruptcy protection [WAMN: 11-Dec-02].

Picking up most of the account is Mediaedge:CIA, which ousts incumbent Zenith Media. The agency picks up the bulk of the worldwide business, with the exception of duties in Japan (handled by ADK), Brazil (Fallon Sao Paolo) and US media planning (Fallon).

Press reports hung a question mark over the review after UAL’s Chapter 11 filing, but the airline insists relationships with its agencies will not be harmed.
