A row over shares has prompted the sudden departure of the top management trio at Netherlands advertising agency FHV BBDO.

Ceo Jacques Kuyf, creative director Sander Bakker, and strategy and research director Roland van der Vorst have walked following New York-headquartered BBDO's buy-up of all the shares.

They quit following BBDO's refusal to make more shares available to senior management, as had previously been the case, "to motivate people and to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit".

The parent agency is also understood to have turned down requests for increased investment.

An official BBDO statement says the three were leaving "to pursue other interests", although none admits to any firm plans.

Willem van der Schoot has taken over as managing director and Australian Rohan Young will now lead the creative teams.
