SYDNEY: Media magnate Kerry Stokes is jostling for position as Australian media ownership reforms loom near. His Seven Network television company has acquired a stake in publisher Fairfax , whose flagship titles include the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
The size of Seven's stake was not made public as Australian law demands this only when a shareholding exceeds 5%.
