PARIS: Publicis has reported an increase in revenues of 9.2% to €1.3 bn ($1.8 bn, £1.1 bn) for Q3 2010.

The holding company was buoyed by the strength of the French market, up 12.6%, and the UK, which was up 9.3%.

Publicis achieved a like-for-like revenue increase for the third quarter of 2010, with all regions of the world contributing organic revenue growth.

Overall, Europe saw a 5% revenue increase year on year.

In North America, organic revenue grew by 12%, with the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions both registering a 9,8% increase.

Meanwhile, Africa and the Middle East saw a 6.5% upturn.

Although the global advertising market has generally been more positive, Publicis ceo Maurice Levy said the key to increased profitability has been "our investment strategy in two high-growth areas, digital and emerging markets".

For the first nine months of the year, organic revenue for the company's marketing services group grew by 6.6%.

Levy concluded: "Despite traditional fourth-quarter uncertainties, we are confident about how the year will end...we believe we can and will sustainably outperform the market."

As of 30 September, Publicis Groupe was holding net debts of €512m ($716m, £455m).
