WARSAW: Poland's advertising market is expected to grow 10.2% during 2008, predicts consultancy CR Media, although global economic conditions have forced it to revise down its previous forecast of 11.3% growth.
The net value of the market is expected to reach 7.448 billion zlotys ($3.38bn; €2.27bn; £1.78bn) by the end of 2008, while in 2009, the market is expected to grow 6.9% to PLN 7.962bn.
The economic squeeze slowed growth in the second quarter by 11.9% year-on-year, from 14.2% in Q1.
Online is the fastest growing ad sector in Poland, expanding by 37% to PLN 453 million expected this year, and a 30% rise to PLN 59m in 2009.
