Another former marketing executive has pleaded guilty in the US Justice Department’s cash-for-contracts print production probe.

Barry Holland – quondam vice president at out-of-home firm Transportation Displays and subsequently an executive at Viacom Outdoor Group – admitted receiving kickbacks in return for sending work to a graphics services supplier.

That supplier was New York’s The Color Wheel, whose former owner Haluk Ergulec was recently sentenced to 37 months in jail for rigging bids, falsifying invoices and defrauding clients of Grey Worldwide [WAMN: 28-Mar-03]. Ergulec was forced to repay $1.5 million (€1.3m; £0.9m) to affected agencies.

Holland said he gained around $176,000 for handing Transportation Displays contracts to The Color Wheel.
