Following the abrupt exit of two McDonald’s Corporation senior national marketers after revelation of the $20 million promotional frauds [WAMN: 02-Nov-01], their seats have been promptly filled by internal promotions.

The vacant chair of R J Milano, former senior vp of US marketing, is now filled by Dan Ryan who moves from assistant vice president Southeast division to take charge of McDonald’s marketing calendar as vice president of US marketing.

Neil Golden moves up from assistant vice president of West division to replace departed director of marketing Kim Poston, albeit with a slightly different job title – vice president of US marketing, in charge of strategy.

In terms of responsibilities, Ryan takes control of restaurant promotions and Happy Meal marketing, while Golden will oversee menu programs, including the New Tastes Menu.
