PARIS: French outdoor advertising giant JCDecaux has posted an 8.2% rise in 2007 sales to €2.1 billion ($3.1bn; £1.56bn) and is confident that it can outpace growth in this year's global ad market.

All geographic areas, excluding France, showed high single or double-digit organic revenue growth.

In Europe, double-digit organic revenue increases were reported in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Netherlands and Italy, with solid growth seen in Spain.

Revenues from JCDecaux's transport division for the full year increased by 16.7% organically, with China and the US again achieving double-digit organic revenue growth.
