LONDON: Dennis Publishing chairman Felix Dennis, still remembered as a hippy defendant in the infamous 1971 counter-cultural clash of the Oz Schoolkids Edition obscenity trial (for which he was subsequently jailed), is seeking to sell all thirty-one editions of Maxim, his top-selling monthly magazine for sex-starved males.

Dennis has appointed New York media investment specialist Allen & Company to review the options for Maxim, currently publishing 31 editions in forty-five countries.

The media empire, of which Maxim is the most visible brand, also includes a range of computer and general interest magazines, websites, mobile content delivery, branded network and cable TV programmess and a satellite radio channel.

It is not known if any of these other assets will also be up for grabs.
