WINNIPEG, Manitoba: Media conglomerate CanWest Global Communications is said to be mulling the disposal of its Australian TV assets in advance of a C$2.1 billion ($1.78bn; €1.37bn; £919m) bid for Canuck television group Alliance Atlantis Communications.
CanWest is said to have hired investment bank Goldman Sachs for a potential acquisition and to explore the sale of its majority stake in Australia's Ten Network.
