NEW YORK: CBS Radio has restructured its regional operations to zero-in on sales, following a review by newish president/ceo Dan Mason who took the tiller earlier this year.

The sales supremos of each of the broadcaster's ten largest markets will now report direct to Mason, while lesser regions salute Scott Herman, former head of CBS' eastern sales effort.

At a national level, Michael Weiss replaces Michael Kincaid as president of sales, the latter having tendered his resignation for health reasons after just five months in the job.

Explains Mason: "By taking the administration level out and replacing it with sales, it's going to make [operations] more efficient."
